IMPORTANT TIPS AND REQUESTS TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR HOME

  • Please do NOT flush anything down the toilet other than toilet paper. NEVER flush any foreign objects including paper towels, and especially wipes — even if the product says it’s flushable, it is not. Any drain that becomes clogged due to your flushing such foreign objects will result in your being responsible for the repair cost.

  • NEVER put any kind of chemical liquid or other chemical product down any sink, toilet, tub or drain for any reason. These products are dangerous and can cause serious harm to you and our maintenance staff. They also cause damage to and can break the plumbing pipes.

  • Clean up any food spills or stains immediately, and wipe down all surfaces. This will lengthen the life of your fixtures, keep bugs away, and prevent any damage/cleaning charges for you.

  • We appreciate your 100% cooperation with keeping ALL interior spaces smoke-free, with no exceptions.

SAFETY TIPS

  • Do not burn candles - this is not allowed.

  • Do not light ANY kind of firework (even on July 4th) - this is not allowed.

  • Check your smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector monthly, by pushing the test button and confirming that the device beeps back at you. These devices must ALWAYS be connected and working - for your and your neighbors’ safety. Please let us know immediately if they are malfunctioning in any way.

  • Charcoal and gas grills of any kind are NOT allowed to be used or stored on the premises of any apartment properties.

SECURITY

  • Always have a backup plan for getting into your home if you misplace your key. Make an extra copy of your key for yourself, and give a copy to your trusted emergency contact person. You must call a locksmith if you are locked out of your home.

  • As one should no matter where you live, lock your entry doors every time you leave your home, and always keep vehicle doors locked.

Jefferson County residents wishing to apply may schedule an appointment utilizing the automated appointment system. Appointments can be scheduled by phone by calling (502) 991-8391 or online at louisvilleky.cascheduler.com. The toll-free service is currently open and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

All applicants will be required to supply the following documentation at time of application:
